Axes in Dauntless is a Weapon Category. A heavy hitter for the tactical Slayer. Channel your hits to build up meter, then unleash to trigger a special attack buff. Stack it up to three times for maximum damage. Axes are slow yet provide deadly, heavy attacks that can surely cut off various parts of a Behemoth - these can be crafted by Wils Bormen, the town's weaponsmith, into various types made from trophies (Breakparts) obtained from Behemoths. These provide a variety of both offensive and defensive moves that are used while in a hunt - Mods and Abilities are obtained from meeting a specific level of mastery, and only one type of each category can be equipped.
