Light the Way is a quest in Dauntless. Quests are given by NPCs and provide rewards for successfully completing the objectives.

Quest Information

Aethersmith Arkan Drew is grateful for your efforts to protect the city and has offered to design either a Skarn lantern or a Shrike lantern for you - if you can harvest the necessary parts from those Behemoths.

Quest Start:

Arkan Drew: "Slayer, welcome! Your mentor Katerin tells me you have done excellent work clearing dangerous Lesser Behemoths from the frontier, but if I know Kat she's also set you with some more difficult challenges. To that end, I think you deserve a far more effective lantern than that... somewhat quaint training model you have now, don't you?" 

"I'd therefore like to offer to construct a lantern for you using the aetheric power of the mighty Skarn or the swift, deadly Shrike! The Skarn will offer you more protection from pain, while the Shrike will help you avoid harm in the first place. As soon as you have the parts I need, we can get to work."

Quest Complete:

"Yes, improbable as it may seem, aetheric energy signatures can vary wildly depending on their Behemoth source. I look forward to hearing about how this lantern performs on future hunts."
