Dire Warnings | Dauntless Wiki

Dire Warnings is a quest in Dauntless. Quests are given by NPCs and provide rewards for successfully completing the objectives.

Quest Information

The continued aetheric chaos at the heart of the Maelstrom has
unleashed dire Behemoths—older, bigger, and deadlier forms of of
beasts with which you're already familiar. Your mentor Kat Sorrel
has entrusted you with bringing them down. She also wants you to
work with Wils Bormen, the Ramsgate weaponsmith, to develop
some weapons that will be more effective against Behemoths that
feed on radiant and umbral aether. The Ostian can fill you in on the
details.

Objectives

•  Hunt Rockfall Skarn
• Hunt Firebrand Charrogg
• Hunt Ragetail Gnasher
• Hunt Moonreaver Shrike
• Complete "Before the Dawn"
• Complete "Bring on the Night"
• Craft and equip armour with a total resistance of 350 or more
• Craft and equip a weapon wtih 350 power or more
• Complete "The Arcstone Defence"

Kat Sorrel: "Behemoths never stop growing. They just turn into bigger, older, and stronger Dire Behemoths like the ones emerging from the Maelstrom's heart and into our skies. Rockfalls. Firebrands. Moonreavers. And the blasted Ragetails. They all resemble Behemoths you've faced before, but underestimate them at your peril."

"I also want you to work with Wils Bormen on a little side project. We need to develop better ways to tackle radiant and umbra! Behemoths, and that Ostian's got some pretty intriguing schematics cooking that might just do the trick. It won't be easy, but trust me—it's necessary. Clear skies, Slayer."
