The Amateur Alchemist is a quest in Dauntless. Quests are given by NPCs and provide rewards for successfully completing the objectives.
Quest Information
Markus Boehr, an amateur alchemist when he's not serving as your airship's bosun and pilot, has offered to cook you tonics and other items that can help you survive the battles to come. First he needs the ingredients to complete his latest creation, the Blitz Tonic.
Objectives
- Craft two Blitz Tonics with Bosun Markus Boehr
- Equip a Blitz Tonic in your loadout
- Use a Blitz Tonic while on a hunt

Quest Start:
Markus Boehr: "So you've heard about my hobby! Yep, alchemy has always been a passion of mine, and if I do say so myself I've gotten a lot better at it. My latest creation is a little something I call a "Blitz Tonic."
"Help me gather the ingredients to craft a few of them. By the time you do that, I should have another recipe or two figured out. I think you'll be impressed at how many different things alchemical tonics can do for you!"
Quest Complete:
"There you are! Those Blitz Tonics will help you press the attack when you're feeling winded. While you were out collecting those ingredients, I also perfected a new concoction - the Bulwark Tonic, something that can help you withstand big impacts without getting knocked onto your... axe."
"And I'm just getting started, Slayer. Aetheric alchemy is a complicated discipline, but I won't be working on airships forever. I think a side line as an amateur alchemist will keep me busy and maybe even help me start saving for retirement, eh?"
