Gearing Up is a quest in Dauntless. Quests are given by NPCs and provide rewards for successfully completing the objectives.
Quest Information
Your mentor Kat Sorrel is impressed you've already crafted gear forged with Behemoth trophies. Equip your new headgear and weapon to show her the quality craftsmanship.

Quest Start:
Katerin Sorrel: "There you are. Was beginning to think you'd taken a long walk off a short quay. I see you've been talking to Moyra and Wils. Well, let's see how your new gear suits you."
"Open your Loadout to equip your new armour and weapon."
Quest Complete:
"All right. I know you've got the talent, now you've got just enough in the way of tools. You're ready to start clearing out the Behemoths that are starting to get a bit too close to this city for comfort."
"As you take down different Behemoths, you can use trophies you gather to forge even more weapons and armour. Soon you'll be able to see how and why different aetheric elements interact the way they do - and what tools to bring to which fights."
"Now get to work, rook. I didn't gift you an airship so we could stand here conversing like a couple of civilians."
