Combat Alchemy is a quest in Dauntless. Quests are given by NPCs and provide rewards for successfully completing the objectives.
Quest Information
The bosun has learned some new tonic recipes that will help you inflict particular types of damage against Behemoths. The insight tonic increases damage against Behemoths. The insight tonic increases your change of infliccting wounds, while the assault tonic make it easier for you to stagger your quarry. But before he shares these valuable insights, he wants to ensure you'll get the most out of them. And for that, he needs you to get some practice staggering and wounding Behemoths.

Markus Boehr: "Glad you stopped by, Skipper! I've made some real alchemical breakthroughs with my latest batch of tonics. They're guaranteed to make you more effective at dealing out the hurt to those Behemoths. The insight tonic helps you focus on inflicting wounds, while the assault tonic helps you stagger your quarry.
"Before I get to work on these, though, I want to make sure you'll get the most out of them that you can. Get out there and inflict wounds and staggers on some Behemoths without the benefit of tonics. When you have that down, these tonics will be of real use to you!"
